I went to the Bryan Adams concert with Gina (B), Michaela (C) and Stephanie (O). I think it was all of our first concerts, too. A year later my mom took Gina and me to the Night Ranger concert at Mud Island for our birthday -- Angela (Urban)
My first concert was Hall & Oates "Private Eyes" tour. Some others to note are: New Edition / Fat Boys / Houdini at the Orpheum in Memphis Tiffany with New Kids on the Block at Mud Island Pointer Sisters at Indian Fieldhouse (yes, before the Convocation Center) 38 Special also at Indian Fieldhouse Chicago at the Convocation Center
My FAVORITE has to be RUSH in Little Rock. Mike Hawkins, Jason Grubb, Craig Schucardt and I went together our Sr year. I can't believe our parents let us go and spend the night! Mike Hawkins and I also went to see RUSH in Memphis together. They are AWESOME! One of the youtube links on this JHS site had a RUSH clip. It brought back so many memories. How things have changed .... now the hottest ticket in town is Hannah Montana for my 7 yr old daughter. She sold out in 28 mins. I passed on some pre-sell tickets because I didn't like the seats. I figured I could buy better if I logged in first thing when they went on sale. I couldn't get through and they sold out. Katie was upset but it will be years before I tell her I had some tickets on hold but let them expire only to get NO TICKETS later.
Boy, I really had to reach back for this one! My first concert was Mickey Gilley at the Indian Fieldhouse! Guess I was country when country wasn't cool! Or at least that makes me feel better. Pointer Sister's, well sure, and loved every minute "doin the neutron dance"! Agree with New Edition, would have loved to have seen them. In fact would go tonight if they were on tour!
Very first was the Beach Boys- mom & dad took me.. then I believe I went on to see KISS with Jennifer Davis, Motley Crew, Poison, Queen, Monsters of Rock. My kids still have not been to a concert. I can not believe how our parents use to LET us go to Memphis either stay or drive & drive back. I can not yet let my teenagers loose at a concert. Times have changed!

The other concerts I remember going to are:
Pointer Sisters @ Indian Fieldhouse and Bruce Springsteen
I would have loved to see New Edition, Chicago or Hall & Oates back then too.
Charles: I can't believe you had Hannah Montana tickets and gave them AWAY. :-)
Angela: Send me you contact info please!
